Garbage collection at many homes in Penticton Monday was disrupted by heavy snowfall.

The city says areas that were unable to receive garbage and yard waste collection were:

• Duncan Ave. East – Between Duncan Place & Woodlands Dr.
• Woodlands Place
• Burns St.
• Martin Alley
• Carmi Drive Alleys
• Halifax St. Alley

It was also unlimited yard waste day for certain properties, which also could not be collected:

• Carmi Drive
• Dartmouth Drive
• Duncan Ave. East
• Duncan Place
• Government St. / Duncan Ave. East
• Naigle Place
• Woodlands Dr.
• Woodlands Place
• Montreal St.
• Ross Ave.

Residents are asked to ensure there is a clear spot to place carts and to leave the carts out for collection until they can be safely picked up.
