Woman in her 60s jumped randomly in Brock alley, police say

Woman attacked in alley

Police say they are looking into an incident last weekend in which a woman in her 60s was attacked by a group of men in a Brocklehurst alley.

Mounties were called to the 1800-block of Tranquille Road just before 3:30 p.m. on Sunday for a report of an assault.

RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn said investigators believe a woman was walking home from the grocery store when she was attacked from behind by two or three people.

“The suspects are described as Caucasian, possibly in their 20s, dressed in black and wearing face masks. One of the suspects may have had a tattoo on their arm,” Evelyn said.

“The woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Anyone with information about the incident can call police at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
