ABBA at centre of $1 billion Las Vegas bidding war for Voyage residency

$1B ABBA bidding war

ABBA could be headed to Vegas with their Voyage residency as hotels battle to secure the forthcoming digital show.

The Swedish group recently returned to the charts with their comeback album of the same name - their first in 40 years - and according to British newspaper The Sun, they could rake in more than $1 billion from a lucrative Sin City deal.

The publication reports officials from MGM Resorts, Caesars Palace and Resorts World are pushing to secure the band's new concert show, which will debut in London in spring 2022.

"The dream would be for the show to move to the States after its London run and in Vegas, it's believed it could make almost £1 billion," insiders reveal.

"Plans at the moment are centred around a suggested 2024 opening which would coincide with the 50th anniversary of their Eurovision win and the release of chart-topper Waterloo.

"ABBA's appeal is global and it would be a huge showcase to have this new avatar technology on the Vegas Strip."
