The Regional District of North Okanagan is looking for feedback on their newly launched website

New website for RDNO

The Regional District of North Okanagan is seeking feedback from users on their rebuilt and redesigned website that launched on Nov. 3.

The new website has a clean, modern design, significantly improved functionality, and is restructured for easier navigation, says the RDNO.

After a soft launch, the district is now seeking feedback from website visitors about their new experience on the fully rebuilt site.

"The last website refresh occurred in 2012, so it was time for us to consider how we could improve the user experience. The new website allows us to share information in a more effective and efficient method," said Ashley Gregerson, RDNO Communications Officer.

The site now includes webpages for each member municipality and electoral area that include their Director's information, RDNO news that affects their community, the RDNO services that they participate in, parks and facilities in their area, mapping files, and an interactive map.

It also includes a grants portal that allows applicants to apply right on the website, save their information, create a log-in to revisit their application, upload documents and submit directly to the staff managing the program.

Other key improvements on the site include additional interactive maps and GIS data sets, and a Career Opportunities section that allows applicants to apply online, upload documents, and see the status of the hiring process.

The site is also compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, making it useful to people with varying abilities.

The new site can be found here and people are asked to complete the feedback survey by Dec. 3.
