Salmon Arm RCMP investigating theft of five riding lawnmowers

$60K in mowers stolen

Salmon Arm RCMP are looking into the theft of five ride-on lawnmowers worth tens of thousands of dollars.

Staff Sgt. Scott West says police responded to the theft about 8:30 a.m. Oct. 12, on the 3100 block of 10th Avenue SW.

“Overnight, three people with their faces covered cut the fence and entered the compound at a business and stole five Cub Cadet Lawn Mowers,” said West, adding the trio of thieves were seen loading the mowers on a trailer towed by a truck.

Police are seeking public assistance in recovering the lawn tractors, which have a value estimated to be in excess of $60,000.

Anyone with information on the theft or who has seen the distinctive yellow mowers is asked to call Salmon Arm RCMP at 250 832?6044 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
