Vancouver motorcycle crash claims rider's life

Fatal motorcycle collision

A collision between a car and a motorcycle Wednesday night claimed the life of a 41-year-old Vancouver man.

The crash happened about 6:45 p.m., near the intersection of Rupert Street and East 41 Avenue.

While paramedics attempted to save him, the man died at the scene of the collision, the Vancouver Police Department says.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 26-year-old man, stayed at the scene and is co-operating with police.

The VPD says drugs and alcohol were not factors.

The VPD's collision unit is seeking any witnesses or dashcam footage. Anyone who can help is asked to call 604-717-3012.
