Police, coroner investigate sudden death in Sahali parking lot

Police are still investigating after responding to a sudden death in a Sahali parking lot on Thursday morning.

Kamloops RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn said police were called to assist fire and ambulance crews with a man in cardiac arrest at 5:45 a.m.

Shortly afterwards, the man, who was in his 30’s, was pronounced dead.

“It is not immediately known what caused the man’s death, and the investigation into what he was doing prior to his death is ongoing,” Evelyn said.

“The man has been identified and his family notified.”

Any witnesses are asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.

Police have blocked off a Sahali parking lot as they investigate a sudden death that occurred early Thursday morning.

In a statement, Kamloops RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn said officers were asked to assist fire and ambulance crews with the death of a man in his 30s at about 5:45 a.m.

Evelyn said police and the coroner are on scene in the 500-block of Notre Dame Drive.

Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.

Evelyn said more information about the incident will be released later on Thursday.
