The collaboration between Okanagan Spring Brewery and Wings puts a local spin on Germany's Octoberfest.

Its name mashes together OK (for Okanagan) and Tobler, the last name of Vernon beer wizard and Okanagan Spring brewmaster Stefan Tobler.

The event runs from Oct. 7 to 10 and includes a talk by Tobler on the brewery's history.

Learn the story behind Okanagan Spring's 1516 lager, named after the Bavarian purity law of 1516.
