Members from the women's Okanagan Hockey Academy U17 and U18 teams will be collecting school supplies in support of the South Okanagan Women in Need Society on Sunday.

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday, student athletes will be at asking shoppers to purchase extra school supplies to donate to families that can’t afford them.

The team athletes will be on location at the following stores:

• Staples Stores - 102 Warren Ave E
• Walmart Canada - 275 Green Ave W
• Dollarama - 1770 Main St

The public is invited to come by and chat with the youth to see that supplies are most needed for Elementary though to High School students, including but not limited to:

• Backpacks
• 1" 3 Ring Binders
• Pencil cases
• Pens
• Pencils
• Highlighters
• White erasers
• White out
• Notebooks
• Crayons
