Mounties looking for suspect after multiple walkie talkies stolen from business

Cops seek walkie talkie thief

Police are hoping tips from the public will help them track down a suspect after someone broke into a downtown Kamloops store and stole nearly a dozen walkie talkies.

According to Mounties, someone smashed a window to get into a store in the 400-block of Seymour Street at about 5 a.m. on Sept. 12.

The suspect is alleged to have stolen a number of portable transmitters — nearly a dozen in all.

The suspect is described as a white man with short blond hair and baggy pants that were falling down.

Anyone with information can call police at 250-828-3000.
