Phil Collins: 'Genesis reunion tour will be my last'

Phil Collins on the way out

Genesis' upcoming reunion tour will most likely be the trio's last, because frontman Phil Collins doesn't think he'll be able to do it again.

The band's The Last Domino? trek will begin in Birmingham, England next week (20Sep21), and Collins feels sure the dates will serve as a farewell from the group.

"This English and American tour, that will be enough for me," he tells the November issue of Mojo magazine.

But bandmate Tony Banks, who added the question mark to the tour name, isn't as convinced.

"I think it depends a little bit how it goes," he says. "How Phil stands up to it all. How the audience receive it, and how we all feel about it, really."

Collins recently revealed he can no longer play the drums - as he used to in the band - due to a series of health issues. His son, Nic, will replace him behind the kit on the tour.

"I'm kind of physically challenged a bit, which is very frustrating because I'd love to be playing up there with my son," Collins recently told BBC Breakfast, "but, you know, I mean, I can barely hold a stick with this hand, so there are certain physical things that get in the way."
