Vernon's Status Nightclub is preparing to reopen when B.C. reaches Stage 4 of its reopening plan.

With this in mind, owner Saverio Loria says the club will reopen Friday, Sept. 10.

The time has come ... we are thrilled to announce we will be reopening our doors," Loria posted on the club's Facebook page.

The club was last open on March 14 of last year.

Meanwhile, Loria is in the process of hiring waitresses, bartenders, security, and other staff in anticipation of the opening.

"We're getting to go," Loria said Monday.

"The date is confirmed ... on the 7th (of September), all restrictions will be lifted."

He says there's lots of work to be done in the meantime, including cleaning, repairs and more.

"We've been closed for a long time, so things are in shambles right now," Loria said.

He says he's already booking live events for this fall, and details will be released soon.
