Seventeen in quarantine after exposure to Covid-19

Seventeen in quarantine

K-pop band Seventeen are in quarantine after coming into close contact with people who have tested positive for Covid-19.

The South Korean stars entered quarantine from 19 June (21) and will be required to stay under lockdown until 29 June.

According to Seventeen's agency Pledis, the exposure stemmed from a media production on 15 June, following which two staff members tested positive for the coronavirus.

And despite testing negative for Covid-19 on 18 June, using self test kits and PCR tests, and "showing no symptoms", they have had to quarantine - in line to health authorities' guidelines.

"We would like to ask all fans who have waited patiently for Seventeen's comeback and the members of the media for your generous understanding," the agency said in a statement. "We will continue to fully comply with the requests and guidelines from health authorities, placing the highest priority on the safety of our artists and staff."

The quarantine has meant Seventeen have had to cancel several promotional activities for their album Your Choice, including a fan event.
