Brocklehurst Middle School and Kamloops Christian School have been added to the Interior Health list of schools with recent COVID-19 exposures.

This brings the total number of Kamloops-area schools recently impacted by the virus to 12.

According to the health authority, potential virus exposures occurred at Brocklehurst middle school over March 1 and 2.

Kamloops Christian school is reporting a virus exposure on March 1. The independent school has elementary, middle and high school communities, as well as an Early Learning Centre, which focuses on preschool and childcare programs.

According to Interior Health’s website, additional days of COVID-19 exposure have been reported at Beattie Elementary. Exposure to the virus may have happened from Feb. 23 to 25.

A virus exposure at Beattie had previously occurred over Feb. 17 and 18.

These exposures come after several Central Okanagan schools recently reported exposures last week as well.
