An incident involving a police vehicle that was hit Friday has resulted in the investigation of a woman on multiple offences.

At around 6:55 p.m. on Feb. 19, a police cruiser was making an emergency U-turn on the East Trans Canada Highway near Grand Boulevard, when it was hit by an eastbound car. The RCMP vehicle had its lights activated for the turn.

The officer sustained minor injuries, but the other vehicle fled the scene leaving an imprint of the driver’s side door in the police cars front right bumper.

Police were able to locate and arrest the woman, who received a 24-hour driving probation for impaired driving.

She was also charged with violation tickets for failure to remain at the scene of the accident and failure to yield for an emergency vehicle.

She also sustained minor injuries in the crash.
