Kamloops man arrested, charged after Mounties spot stolen vehicle on Sahali street

Stolen vehicle led to arrest

A Kamloops man is facing property-related charges after police searched a stolen vehicle spotted Saturday on a Sahali street.

According to an RCMP news release, Mounties conducting patrols along Greenstone Drive spotted a vehicle known to be stolen.

“Officers were able to keep an eye on the vehicle until its occupants were on foot and it was safe to arrest them,” RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said.

“A man and two women were arrested. While searching one of the women, police located and seized a Taser, BB gun and knife.”

Darcy Dean Anderson, 32, is facing one count each of possession of stolen property under $5,000 and driving while prohibited. He remains in custody and is slated to appear in Kamloops provincial court on Jan. 28.
