Trio of Kamloops schools report COVID-19 exposure

Virus cases at 3 schools

Three schools in Kamloops have recently been the site of COVID-19 exposure, health officials have announced.

School District 73 was informed Sunday of positive cases at Juniper Ridge Elementary, South Kamloops Secondary and Valleyview Secondary.

Interior Health says there was a COVID-19 exposure at Juniper Ridge Elementary and Valleyview Secondary on Jan. 11.

South Kamloops Secondary had a COVID-19 exposure on Jan. 12 and 13.

The school community members who have tested positive are isolating at home with the help of public health teams. Those impacted by the positive cases have been notified.

School District 73 continues to work with Interior Health to provide required ongoing communication and to maintain the privacy of all individuals in the school communities.
