PLAYKamloops and the city are teaming up to encourage locals to spend some time this winter outside playing.

There are plenty of ways to stay active outside, and the two groups have come up with a How to Play Calendar for people to use throughout December, and the rest of winter.

Residents who participate in the How to Play program from Dec. 1 to 31 can also be entered in a few draws, including a $500 grand prize package at the end of it all. A calendar full of activity ideas can be found on the PLAYKamloops website.

Participants can enter using social media. On Facebook or Instagram people can tag PLAYKamloops in posts and be entered into the weekly prize draws.

For the grand prize people can submit their calendar via email or drop it off at the John Tod Boys and Girls Club on the North Shore or the Tournament Capital Centre in Sahali by Jan. 8.
