Additional COVID-19 exposure issued for Okanagan Mission Secondary

UPDATE 7:45 p.m.

Another member of the KSS community has tested positive for COVID-19.

Interior Health issued the notice Monday evening.

According to the health authority, the individual is self-isolating at home.

Anyone potentially exposed to the individual will be notified by Interior Health through contact tracing.

"The safety and well-being of students, families, and staff remains our highest priority," SD23 stated in a news release.

"Central Okanagan Public Schools will continue to implement the strict health and safety protocols and procedures that are in place so students and staff can continue to attend school as safely as possible."

Another member of the Okanagan Mission Secondary school community has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Central Okanagan School District made the announcement Monday evening. 

“They are self-isolating at home with support from local public health teams. Interior Health follows up with anyone potentially exposed to a confirmed case directly through contact tracing,” SD 23 said.

This exposure alert is in addition to one issued Sunday evening. 

Interior Health says possible exposure dates at the school are Nov. 9, 10 and 12.
