Helicopter takes patient to hospital after 'long fall' on OKIB land

Airlifted to hospital

A medevac helicopter was called to the Six Mile Creek area of the North Westside following a fall from a height at a home on Okanagan Indian Band land on Tuesday.

BC Emergency Health Services received a call at 9:45 a.m.reporting a "long fall," according to a spokesperson for the ambulance service.

One ground and one air ambulance were dispatched.

Paramedics cared for the patient before they were taken by air ambulance to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
