Seymour parkade reopens, Lansdowne parkade closes

Parkade renos complete

The city's parkades are flipping.

The Seymour Street parkade is once again open for use on the 200 block. It's been closed for several weeks for membrane replacement.

The crew that was working there is headed down Third Avenue now to the Lansdowne Street parkade, where the same work will be done.

The work is expected to wrap up at the end of August, according to a city press release.

"As the city is not currently collecting parking fees in the parkades and city-owned surface lots, this parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis," staff say in the release.

Parking fees will be reinstated on Sept. 7, 2020, for all city-owned surface lots and parkades.
