Temperatures heading into short work week cooling down

Still sunny, but a bit cooler

It will be sunny, and it will be hot, but temperatures are expected to be about four to five degrees cooler than the upper 30s the Southern Interior experienced heading into the long weekend.

According to the forecast from Environment Canada, the shortened work week should at least begin with sunshine and temperatures in the low 30s before cooling off significantly toward the latter portion of the week and through the weekend.

The latest six day forecast for the Okanagan and Kamloops regions call for sunshine both Tuesday and Wednesday with highs expected to reach 32 and 33 Celsius respectively before clouds start to roll in.

There is a chance of showers Thursday with highs expected to reach only 25 Celsius.

Temperatures are expected to remain in the mid to upper 20s through the weekend with clouds and sun interspersed.
