BCCDC warns of more Kelowna flights with COVID-19 exposure

More flights with COVID

The BC Centre for Disease Control is warning of two more flights from Kelowna International Airport with possible COVID-19 exposures.

The BC CDC made the announcement Wednesday evening.

The flights, among four new exposure warnings in B.C., include a Kelowna to Calgary flight on July 2, and Kelowna to Edmonton flight on July 5. Both were WestJet flights.

The other new warnings are for a Korean Air flight from Incheon to Vancouver on July 5, and a Vancouver to Edmonton WestJet flight, also on July 5.

This follows a warning on Monday regarding a July 6 Air Canada flight from Kelowna to Vancouver.

The BCCDC asks passengers on the flights to self-isolate and monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms for 14 days.

The province does not directly contact passengers on domestic flights who were seated near a confirmed case during the flight. Instead, that information is posted online.
