Police block off Vancouver's Main Street Monday night.
A man was fatally shot in South Vancouver overnight.
Just after 11 p.m. Monday, 30-year-old Amin Shahin Shakur was shot and killed near Main Street and East 48th Avenue. This is the city's eighth homicide of 2020.
Const. Tania Visintin of the Vancouver Police Deparment said Shakur “does not have an extensive police history,” but she says there is no risk to the public.
