Senior missing after paddling

Vernon RCMP are looking for a local senior who went missing on June 30.

73-year-old Wayne Orser was last seen at his house in North Westside, and it is believed he went paddle boarding on Okanagan Lake that afternoon. His paddle board was found in the reeds at the north end of the lake, and he has not been seen since.

"Vernon Search and Rescue was deployed to the area and searched the shoreline with negative results," says Cpl. Tania Finn.

Wayne Orser is described as a 73-year-old white man with grey hair and brown eyes, standing at 5'8" and weighing 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and grey sweatpants.

If anyone saw Wayne on the afternoon of June 30th, the Armstrong RCMP asks for you to contact them at 250-546-3028. You can also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or leaving a tip online at www.nokscrimestoppers.com.
