A man was shot at a home on Quince Road early Tuesday morning

UPDATE: 10:30 a.m.

Neighbours of a duplex on Quince Road in West Kelowna believe the tenant of the home was the man shot early Tuesday morning.

They were unable to provide any further information on the incident.

A pool of dried blood was visible on the front step, and blood drops were seen on the short driveway leading out to the road.

West Kelowna RCMP, who canvassed the short street of half a dozen homes, were no longer at the scene.

RCMP are canvassing an area around the 2400 block of Quince Road in West Kelowna following a shooting early this morning.

Police say they were called to the area about 1:30 a.m., and found a man suffering from an apparent gun shot wound.

The unidentified man is in Kelowna General Hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

“Officers remain on scene conducting neighbourhood canvassing, speaking with witnesses, and gathering physical evidence,” says Cpl Jocelyn Noseworthy.

“The investigation is still in it’s early stages and officers will be in the area for an undetermined period of time.”

Police have yet to say whether anyone is in custody.
