Royals' new non-profit

Britain's Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex have paid tribute to their son Archie in the name of their new non-profit organization - Archewell.

After stepping away from their positions as senior members of Britain's royal family earlier this year, the pair have been working on their latest endeavor, and revealed details of the project to the Daily Telegraph newspaper.

Explaining the inspiration behind the Archewell name, the couple told the publication: "Before SussexRoyal, came the idea of Arche, the Greek word meaning source of action. We connected to this concept for the charitable organization we hoped to build one day, and it became the inspiration for our son's name.

"Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes the deep resources we each must draw upon."

While opting against announcing exactly what their organization will be doing, Meghan and Harry did hint they will be doing "something of meaning, to do something that matters" with Archewell.

In addition, sources confirmed to E! News that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have trademarked the name Archewell for "multiple purposes, including clothing and audiobooks."

However, they're waiting to officially launch the organization due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"Like you, our focus is on supporting efforts to tackle the global Covid-19 pandemic. We look forward to launching Archewell when the time is right," they said.
