McConaughey calls bingo

Matthew McConaughey thrilled a group of Texas pensioners when he played caller for a virtual game of bingo.

The Magic Mike star, who hails from the Southern state, logged onto video conferencing app Zoom to join the seniors at The Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living facility.

His wife Camila Alves, their three kids - Levi, 11, Vida, 10, and Livingston, seven - and even Matthew's mom also joined in on the fun during the lively numbers contest.

"We got two winners!" the 50 year old announced in a clip from the session.

The players had so much fun they made their famous guest a thank-you video afterward, holding up green signs for him and announcing they planned to continue "turning a red light into a green light."

The phrase referenced a feel-good message the actor shared on Twitter last month, amid the coronavirus pandemic, in which he suggested followers "make some lemonade out of this lemon that we're in the middle off - turn a red light into a green light. Just keep living."
