Duran Duran star recovering

Duran Duran star John Taylor has joined the growing list of musicians battling COVID-19.

The Rio bass player has revealed he tested positive for the coronavirus three weeks ago and suffered through what felt like a "Turbo-charged flu."

"Perhaps I am a particularly robust 59 year old - I like to think I am - or I was blessed with getting only a mild case of Covid 19 - but after a week or so of what I would describe as a 'Turbo-charged flu', I came out of it feeling OK - although I must admit I didn't mind quarantine as it gave me the chance to really recover," Taylor has tweeted.

"I am speaking out in answer to the enormous amount of fear being generated by the pandemic, some of it entirely justified, and my heart goes out to everyone who has had to deal with real loss and pain. But I want to let you know that it isn't always a killer, and we can and will beat this thing."

John joins stars like Marianne Faithfull, Bon Jovi star David Bryan, John Prine, Christopher Cross, Jackson Browne, Placido Domingo, and Pink, who are at various stages of battling the virus, which has claimed the lives of Fountains of Wayne frontman Adam Schlesinger, jazz greats Bucky Pizzarelli and Wallace Roney, country star Joe Diffie, the Arrows frontman Alan Merrill, and Afro-jazz legend Manu Dibango, among others.
