Kodak Black gets 12 months

Imprisoned rapper Kodak Black has been handed an additional 12-month sentence behind bars relating to a gun charge in New York.

The Tunnel Vision star was taken into custody in April 2019 after the car he was traveling in was stopped by border officials while attempting to enter the U.S. from Canada.

He was slapped with a count of attempted second degree criminal possession of a weapon, and pleaded guilty in a Niagara County court in mid-March.

According to the local Buffalo News, Black, real name Bill K. Kapri, who had faced up to seven years in prison, will only serve a year for the crime, and it will run concurrently with his existing 46-month federal weapons sentence, which was handed down by a judge in Miami, in November.
