COSAR assists BC Ambulance Services to help injured hiker

Injured hiker rescued

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue was called out on Sunday afternoon for the second time in 24 hours, to help rescue an injured hiker.

COSAR assisted BC Ambulance Services with the rescue at K.L.O Creek Park on Sunday, not long after rescuing two hikers from Okanagan Mountain Provincial Park.

On COSAR's Instagram, they released a safety reminder to the public about venturing outdoors.

"We are seeing a large increase in the number of people visiting local parks during the current COVID out break.

"If you do venture into the parks, not only is the practice of social distancing important but please ensure that you are well equipped for the trails that you decide to explore."
