An Okanagan lottery player is holding a ticket worth $1 million.

BC Lotteries has closed its prize payout centres during the COVID-19 crisis, so make sure you hang on to your tickets, sign them – and if you're the winner, contact the lottery corporation for details, and keep that winning ticket in a safe place.

No winning ticket was sold for the $8 million jackpot in Saturday night's Lotto 649 draw.

However, the guaranteed $1 million prize was claimed by a lottery player in Vernon, according to the BC Lotteries website.

The jackpot for the next Lotto 649 draw on Apr. 1 will be approximately $9 million.
