Motorists are being advised it will be slow going on Highway 1 due to avalanche control work.
DriveBC is reporting avalanche control work is planned between the Illecillewaet Brake Check and Glacier National Park East Boundary for 48.9 km
A detour is not available and the work is expected to continue until Sat Feb. 29 at 10 a.m.
