Air Canada has confirmed that a passenger aboard one of its Vancouver-bound flights has since tested positive for novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19.
The passenger flew from Montreal to Vancouver Feb. 14.
Health authorities confirmed the case on Feb. 22, according to the airline, which says it is working with public health authorities and has taken “all recommended measures.”
The B.C. Centre for Disease Control is following up with other passengers who were on that flight, Air Canada added.
It’s not known whether the passenger who tested positive for COVID-19 is one of the six confirmed cases in B.C.
The most recently announced B.C. case is a woman in her 30s who recently returned from Iran.
