Abbotsford Police are on the hunt for a suspect who wore a Freddy Krueger mask during an armed robbery on Tuesday.

A man entered an unlicensed marijuana dispensary about 8 p.m., pulled out a gun and demanded cash and product, CTV News reports.

Sgt. Judy Bird says the suspect concealed his face behind a Freddy Krueger mask from the horror movie "Nightmare on Elm Street."

A white Dodge Journey was seen leaving the area in a hurry and was almost involved in a collision, says Bird.

"We're just trying to figure out what connection, if any, that (vehicle) had to the robbery," she said.
