With the number of coronavirus cases continuing to climb around the globe and eight cases diagnosed in Canada, there is at least some good news.

The man who was British Columbia's first case has fully recovered, is considered cured, and health officials say he no longer needs to be in isolation.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Mainland China reported 74,185 total cases and 2,004 deaths.

Cities with a combined population of more than 60 million have been under lockdown since the Lunar New Year holiday last month.
