Kids get in free to West Kelowna Warriors Family Day matinee

Warriors family day special

For the first time since the province introduced the Family Day holiday in 2013, the West Kelowna Warriors will host a holiday matinee.

The Warriors, in the midst of winding down their 14th regular season, will entertain division-rival Trail Monday at 2:30.

To add to the family-friendly atmosphere, all kids 18 and under will be admitted free with a paying adult.

The promotion is made possible with the assistance of Houston Pizza.

Fans are also encouraged to bring their skates for a post-game skate with the Warriors.

“This is our last opportunity this season to offer a discount to the families of West Kelowna,” said Warriors president Chris Laurie.

“Come celebrate Family Day with your family at the Warriors game."

The Warriors have just four games left in the regular season as they try and reel in the Prince George Spruce Kings, who sit just three points up.

They're in Vernon Saturday night before hosting Trail Monday.

The Warriors close out the regular season with with back-to-back game against the Vipers, next Friday in Vernon and Saturday back at Royal LePage Place.
