Hot Sands work should wait

I find it incredible that the city is spending over $100,000 to redistribute the sand at Hot Sands Beach.

Yet just this week we are told that the snow pack is over 120 per cent of normal.

Shouldn't the city wait until after the spring run off to replace sand on the beach? That could be a total waste of money should we get flooding this year.

Mark Boyer

With the snowpack at 129 per cent of normal, why on earth would you consider doing any work on the shorelines before the spring thaw?

All that snow will melt, the lake will rise, rain will come and wash all your hard work away. Timing is everything.
