The Paisley Notebook's fourth annual dinner takes place Mar. 8

Dinner for Women's Day

The Paisley Notebook in Okanagan Falls is kicking off International Women's Day through a five-course fundraising dinner.

Profits from the fourth annual dinner will benefit Foundry Penticton and Kelowna, the South Okanagan Women in Need Society and Slow Food Canada.

This year's dinner will showcase talents from Andrea Callan, from the Red Fox Club at Indigenous World Winery in West Kelowna, Aman Dosanj from the Paisley Notebook in Kelowna, Dana Ewart from Penticton, Christine Sandford from Biera Edmonton and Kelsey Johnson from Cafe Linnea in Edmonton.

Wine pairings will also be donated from top wineries and winemakers from across the Okanagan including Alison Moyes at Liquidity Wines, Christy Bibby from Nighthawk Vineyards, Leslie D'Andre from Noble Ridge and Severine Pinte from La Stella Winery.

Each chef will follow the 'Each For Equal' theme when creating their course.

“We are so incredibly grateful to Aman for bringing together talented and passionate chefs and wineries who put on a wonderful evening in celebration of International Women’s Day," says Shelagh Turner, executive director at Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Kelowna.

"This event has been held in Kelowna the last three years, all totalled they have raised over $16,000 for mental health initiatives at CMHA Kelowna and Foundry Kelowna. We cannot underestimate what it means for our mental health to have someone to talk to, to share a meal with and to have a safe place to belong."

"When we feel connected to others we are more likely to take steps to feel good about ourselves and the community in which we live."

The fundraiser takes place Mar. 8, from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at the Liquidity Bistro at 4720 Allendale Road in Okanagan Falls.

Tickets are available here.
