Highway 33 remains reduced to single lane, alternating traffic

Hwy 33 still partially closed

UPDATE: 12:40 p.m.

Traffic remains slowed on Highway 33 Tuesday after a crash closed a lane of the highway north of Westbridge in the early morning hours. 

The highway continues to be reduced to single lane, alternating traffic about 13 kilometres north of Westbridge, following the crash. The nature of the crash, or any injuries involved, is unknown at this time. 

DriveBC warns of delays in the area as a result.

Expect delays on Highway 33 north of Westbridge this morning due a crash overnight.

DriveBC reports an incident between Blythe-Rhone Road and Chenier Mainline forest service road reduced the highway to single-lane, alternating traffic. 

Meanwhile, the road was cleared about 11:30 p.m. following a crash in the northbound lanes of Highway 97A seven kilometres south of Sicamous overnight.

The incident was reported between Hutchison Road and Davidson Drive, and had the highway down to a single lane.

Slushy and slippery conditions are reported on mountain passes on major routes out of the Okanagan, and foggy conditions on the Okanagan Connector at Pennask Summit.
