DriveBC has issued an alert stating that Highway 6 has been cleared and is now open.

ORIGINAL: 8:30 a.m.

Highway 6 is closed Monday morning following a vehicle incident between Ricardo Road and Warren Road.

An assessment is in progress but a hydro pole is down and a detour is in effect.

Drivers are urged to detour through Buchanan Road.

The next update isn't expected until 2 p.m.
