Canadian Forces members blast areas near Rogers Pass.

Those heading east, looking to get an early jump on the weekend, might run into some delays Friday morning.

The Trans-Canada Highway, between Revelstoke and Golden, will see intermittent closures between 5 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday as crew work to manage avalanche danger along the busy highway.

Each closure through the Rogers Pass area is expected to last about two hours.
