Another dump of snow is coming to the Highway 3 corridor in the Boundary and West Kootenays.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the area, predicting 20-25 centimetres by Friday morning.
“Warm air moving into the interior will cause snow levels to rise tonight, and snow will change to rain at lower elevations,” the alert says. However, near Kootenay Pass and Paulson Summit, snow is expected to continue.”
Drivers are being advised to prepare for rapidly changing road conditions and poor visibility. Travellers should check webcams at DriveBC before departing.
