The Penticton Vees came from behind for an overtime win in Vernon Wednesday evening to snag their 33rd win of the season.
The Vipers got a 1-0 lead just 1:57 into the first period.
It wasn't until the third period that the Vees finally tied it up, with David Silye tying the game 5:59 minutes in.
Despite fierce play and two power play chances for the Vipers that the Vees fended off, the period ended without more points and the game headed to overtime.
Nico Sommerville became the hero of the game with a goal a the 1:07 mark, chalking up a victory for the Vees.
Yaniv Perets turned aside 25 of the 26 shots thrown his way, including 12 in the 3rd period, for his 19th victory of the season in net.
The Vees (33-11-1-1) return to the South Okanagan for a pair of weekend home games, beginning on Friday night with a matchup against the Merritt Centennials (10-29-1-3) for the fifth time this season.
