Kelowna Chevrolet is hosting Magic for a Cause tonight at Dakoda's Comedy Lounge, with all proceeds benefiting The Bridge Youth and Family Services youth recovery house.
Funds raised will help build a live-in facility that will feature healing spaces for expert care, recreation, education and counselling.
The site will give individuals 18-years-old and younger who are suffering from addiction a space for recovery, helping individuals and families who cannot afford long-term treatment options.
"There are fewer than 50 publicly funded treatment beds for youth in B.C. and none in the Interior for those under 17-years-old," says Celine Thompson, executive director of The Bridge.
"It is events like this that help us raise funds and awareness towards such a serious need in our community."
The evening will feature Leif David, a local award-winning magician who has been entertaining audiences with his international award-winning act for more than 24 years. His shows feature clean comedy and audience participation.
Tickets are available here, and the event kicks off at 7 p.m.
