Kelowna Rockets have seven players on the injured list

Forward Liam Kindree is back on the injured list

The Kelowna Rockets have been hit, and hit hard, with the injury bug.

No less than seven players find themselves on this week's injury report.

The worst of the seven is forward Liam Kindree, who is expected to be out up to four weeks with an upper body injury. He suffered the injury Saturday when he was slammed into the boards by Kamloops forward Ryley Appelt.

Kindree had just returned after missing eight games with a shoulder injury.

Nolan Foote suffered a lower body injury in Friday's game in Kamloops. It was his first game back after missing a dozen games with Canada's gold medal winning world junior team. He's listed as week-to-week.

Forward Trevor Wong was also injured in that game. He's day-to-day with a lower body ailment.

Defenceman Sean Comrie is still a couple of weeks from returning from an upper body injury.

Three other players, forwards Kyle Topping and Mark Liwiski and goaltender Roman Basran are all closer to returning.

Liwiski and Basran are both day-to-day with upper body injuries, while Topping could be back within a week. He's been practising after having surgery on a broken foot.

Basran was presumably injured during a fight with Kamloops netminder Dylan Gerand Saturday.

The Rockets will also head into a busy three-game weekend without defenceman Kaeden Korczak, who was suspended three games for his part in Saturday's brawl.

To fill out the roster, the Rockets have recalled forward Dylan Wightman from the BCMML Okanagan Rockets, defenceman Noah Dorey from Delta Academy, and goaltender Cole Tisdale from the AJHL Camrose Kodiacs.

The Rockets play in Everett Friday before back-to-back games in Portland Saturday and Sunday.
