Rockets triumph over Tri-City

The Kelowna Rockets capped off their three-game weekend with a 7-3 victory over the Tri-City Americans on Sunday night.

Rookie Pavel Novak lead the charge with two goals and two assists, and Cole Schwebius turned aside 24 shots to help the Rockets achieve their 21st win of the season.

The Rockets were the first on the board in the first few minutes of the second period, scoring two goals in a span of 29 seconds from Michael Warren and Trevor Wong.

Pavel Novak's sharp-angled shots found the back of the net just 46 seconds into the third period, and again a few minutes later. This was followed by goals from Booker Daniel, Samuel Huo, Dillon Hamaliuk and Conner McDonald.

Kelowna Rockets return to Prospera Place for a hometown game Wednesday night against the Victoria Royals.

Tickets are on sale at selectyourtickets.com, at the Prospera Place box office or by phone at 250-762-5050.
