BC's agriculture and seafood industries set a new milestone in 2018 with annual revenues from businesses in those sectors reaching 15 billion dollars.

Figures from the Ministry of Agriculture show revenue up by four per cent in food processing, six per cent in agriculture and 11 per cent in seafood.

Agriculture Minister Lana Popham says the hard work of many led to the record results.

The province also set a new high of 4.5 billion dollars for exporting those goods, mostly to the US, China and Japan, although BC residents were the main buyers at 6.4 billion in purchases
