Ronnie Wood - still rockin'

Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has insisted he's feeling "better than ever" at the grand age of 72.

The musician recently wrapped the final leg of the (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction group's No Filter Tour, after a mammoth two-year run, and told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper he can't see himself slowing down anytime soon.

"My brain stopped telling me, 'You're getting older' around 30," he confessed. "I remember my 40th birthday... But even then I was like, 'I'm not 40.' 72? Forget about it."

The star, who battled lung cancer in 2017, went on to suggest he'll carry on thrilling audiences worldwide so long as his age doesn't have any negative impact on the band's live performance.

"We are better than ever," he insisted. "I'm playing the best I've ever played."

Ronnie's comments come after his wife, theater producer Sally Humphreys, told the publication earlier this year she wishes he'd take a step back from work, but admitted: "I don't think he'll ever stop " he goes at life like 100 miles an hour and loves it."
