On Sunday, the Okanagan Region experienced their first snowfall of the season and for some, that meant curling up in front of a warm fire or enjoying a hot cup of cocoa, but for others, the snowfall meant jumping into freezing cold water.
David, a Castanet viewer sent in this video of a few people daring the bitterly cold water at Okanagan Lake Park, by taking a polar bear swim in the late afternoon.
The video showcases four brave people running into the water for a few seconds and two people were believed to jump into the lake for a second time to get in that extra swim. One person was getting out before someone decided they needed one more dip into the lake before they all left the area to get warm.
Kelowna's temperature dipped down to -4 degrees, with the wind chill it felt more like -6 degrees on Sunday.
